The Green Family
Hartland is an old, working farm, owned and farmed by Henry Green since 1950. Henry, 6th generation to farm Hartland, was born in the main house and raised six children there. Henry, who is still involved in cattle farming, has made it possible for his children and grandchildren, 8th generation, to farm now. Son Bill and his wife, Sharon, raise the fruit and bluberries and you can read more about the fruit at the original Hartland Orchard site, www.hartlandorchard.com. Hank Green has been farming and growing Christmas trees along with his wife, Cheryll for many years. After visiting several corn mazes and other agritainment businesses, a corn maze was planted and a fun field created to add to the pleasure you can have at the farm. Henry's grandson, Brian, with his wife Georgi, is raising strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Hank and Brian raise some vegetables together. When needed, all family members pitch in, even when visiting from far places. We hope that you will enjoy harvesting some of your own food and being on our farm. Feel free to ask questions about how things are grown but be prepared to stay a while if you get one of us talking about farming....
